Kind Words From Bad People

Kind Words From Bad People - Music ReviewIncredibly versatile and unique, Kind Words From Bad People brings a refreshing new sound to the music world. Cool to a fault, be pulled into a heady trance and find yourself enveloped by the vibes of these cats from British Columbia, Canada…

Self described as a “Happy Accident” one wonders what might be found in future outings with their trippy, noise laden, guitar riff driven cool ass beats and lyrical foundations. One often hears that a musicians’ or a bands’ sounds are unique, but one rarely finds the musical offering and statement to be true… well Kind Words From Bad People not only makes the statement but delivers their unique brand of cool with skill and fluidity rarely found in today’s music world.

With a mix of rock, rap, lounge, acid jazz and trance sounds these cats tear it up with authority and have effectively locked themselves into the envious position of uniqueness in an ever increasing industry of same ol’ same… from track to moving track I was enlightened with a creative vibe that can only be found through a sincere love of music and band mates that can only be born through true friendship.

Last months winner of the Catsask.com’s Hot Trax of the Month Award, Kind Words From Bad People appear to have a long and fruitful career ahead of them with their unique mesh of musical genres and their out there creativity. I’ve got nothing but love for them and their too cool for words sounds and musical vibrations.

Paradox
posted by: CME

Paradox Music ReviewOriginally from Ireland this trio has found fairly agreeable success in North America with self promotion and hard work. Hard and in your face with the track "Corporate Pollution" Paradox extracts the essence of the North American ways of life, capitalistic apathy.

Coming from a European background these insights into our ways of life are quite refreshing and even more pressing than when heard from within.

The core of Paradox's sound is driven with passion and is reminiscent of the grunge/hard rock styles prevalent in middle America. The lyrics are quite insightful and are obviously something these gentleman put a lot of their heart and soul into.

"Pretend Friend", one of my favorites displays their appreciation for the musical content of a song with their use of harmonies and a meaningful topic. Paradox is definitely worth your time and ears.

The Psalmist
posted by: CME

The PsalmistWith excellent production and nicely arranged beats The Psalmist offers lyrical diversity with a positive twist. The bumpin' beats are exactly what the top down Jeeps are callin' for. Summertime jams and all that...

Reminiscent of Big Pun and Fat Joe, the Psalmist is definitely ready to bust on to the Hip-Hop scene and will definitely have some heads spinnin'! All you cats out there should definitely take some lessons on how it can and should be done. With positivity and smooth flows one can still rock the set and spread love at the same time.

Of the tracks I had the opportunity to eavesdrop on "Free", "Ghetto Child", and "Once Again" were definitely some of the better produced and arranged tracks I've had the pleasure of  hearing.

Representing Corona, New York with authority, the Psalmist would make any positive Hip-Hop head believe again...The Psalmist can definitely make a serious impact in this industry, and I expect with some more time we'll be seeing him in general rotation throughout North America. One would wonder why we haven't heard of him before? Well we have now, and believe me the young Cats on the set best check themselves...
