Deep Samadhi come from Senigallia (IT) and are Jacopo Gambini Rossano (lead vocals, guitar), Matteo Sideri (drums and percussion, backing vocals) and Niccolo’ Urbani (bass).

The three met each other during July 2008 and spent four days in a garage rehearsing some of Jacopo’s rough ideas. Two days after they performed at Roadie Rock Festival 2008 and got 2nd amongst 108 bands that entered the competition ; they tried again in the 2009 amongst 134 bands and they won the festival.

Their alternative rock revolves around a tight rhythm section, enveloping chord progressions, powerful solos and catchy vocal melodies with lyrics that span from social life to intimate reflections.

The Drummer obtained the diploma of sound engineer in England in 2005 and the specialist certificate “Sound Design Using Reason” through Berklee University in June 2009.

The Bass player has a degree in Environmental Science and he has a specialization in Acoustics.

The Lead Singer/Guitarist has published a poetry book in 2008, “I riti che non ci hanno

Tramandato – The rites that have not been handed down to us” through “IL Filo” Editions (IT) and has a year’s worth of experience as Music Manager, which he earned at the Hollywood club in Milan.

Their music is abroad on 1FM radio in Los Angeles , on BananaPeelRadio in Vancouver – on MidnightSpecialbluesRadio in Paris , on RadioCrystalBlue in New York and in many other  radios

They’re constantly playing live shows as a Trio and they’ve made available an electro/acoustic set as well, with which they’ve performing live at many bars/clubs.

Recently, their first self-produced EP “This is now” has been released and it’s now available to listen to on MySpace and to purchase on www.mymusicsite.com/deepsamadhi.

DeepSamadhi are currently under no exclusive licence neither tied to any contract.

P.S. What does “Samadhi” mean?

Samadhi is the Indian term for the state of consciousness induced by complete meditation. It comes from samā (even) and dhi (intellect), a state of total equilibrium (samā) of a detached intellect (dhi).

For the band, Samadhi is a constant research for a wise behaviour, a wise insight on how they write and play their music, a wise way of communicating with one another and ultimately a wise way of living life.
